i feel that one of the most important angles you have to cover in an informational video about serving is from behind. then the sideways movement is more clear and easier to see. from the front you don't see much as that is what the server intended. for you not to see what type of sidespin is on the ball.

good to know. I was wondering recently about this rule because as far as I knew, the rules just say "nearly directly up".

it doesnt have to be directly up. it has to be less than 45 degrees and sometimes schlager gets faulted but not often
