Only they actually found evidence of thier 'God'. I guess its simmilar to the 'Kabbah' in Mecca (a meteorite). The marker is alien technology for sure.. I still haven't finished the game yet - my Xbox has the RROD and its VERY cold here so the towel trick isn't working.. :( Oh well, will repair next week.

I'm talking about the fact that a virus ravaged a certain area, mutated things, and generally makes trouble for the main character. Silent Hill is survival horror, and it bears no resemblance to Resident Evil.
