Is it possible to listen to this masterpiece and not cry? I think not. Happy New Year everyone, and Dan, we miss you. Thanks for sharing your gift.

An eloquent song that captures life. Nothing lasts forever. At times we remember the past with extreme longing, and this song catches that feeling better than any other song ever written. On New Year's Eve it is especially poignant.
To all those watching this in a depressed or longing mood, remember that good memories come from living. Go out in the future and make some more, so another genius can write another song that captures what you have yet to do.

I saw him on solo tour in the 80's while I was in High School. I took a lot of flack from the guys - he was not considered 'cool' - but I could have cared less. Dan Fogelberg was an huge talent and songwriter, and a great entertainer.
I could not get this song out of my head for the last three days. God bless you Dan, and wherever you've gone, this one's for you.

As it was I believe around the early 80's it remains 01/01/2009 an awesome reality. What an artist. What a song.
