god stompterra and pxpgls... i saw owen wilson in this thing with a cowboy hat trying to be all melancholy and it just pisses me off... it diminishes this song... JC is a man of the people, he sings of hard times, not celebrities who's only problem is if they really have enough money to buy that new 250,000 dollar car...

PXPGLS I could not agree more. Every lame celebrity closeup in this video is the same. They all have the same look on their face the "I'm cool cause I like Johnny Cash" look. I wish someone who is actually cool like Bill Murray was in this video holding up a sign that said, Could we have some normal looking people in this video?

This video annoys me. Look at all the celebrities trying to latch on to J.C.. Ick. Probably J.C. wouldn't mind, and maybe he liked all these people fine. But please. Johnny Depp with a guitar looking serious and intense? Please. Most of these people should know that their names aren't fit to be mentioned in the same sentence with J.C.'s name, much less appear in a video for one of his tunes. With *maybe* 1 or 2 exceptions, these people just embarrass themselves by their proximity to Cash.

because people want to emulate him, he does those "good works" for the same reason that slutty girls dress slutty, because they think it makes them better, because they think it raises their self worth. and the sad thing is, is that people want to emulate him. if you want to emualte someone go emulate gregory peck, who never suffered from cancer, or had a family member suffer from cancer(or friend) but still did an amazing amount to help cancer research.
